Common Scents Deer Lure © had a very successful year with sales in 29 states and four countries! We have even bigger plans for this year and are preparing to offer much more to hunters and like you, we are always trying to better ourselves in the GREAT OUTDOORS. So look out for 2007 as there is a lot in the works!

Lure news:

Scrape Dressing has become very successful for hunters all across the country and if you have not had an opportunity to try it yet, please do! Scrape hunting has always been my favorite. If you're like me, you don't get enough time in a stand so the opportunity to check on a scrape that is been worked over can give you the peace of mind that the big boy your after is in the neighborhood. Our lures will help reinsure that you do indeed have his attention and will keep his attention until you have a window of opportunity! Check the end of this letter for a good opportunity in trying a scrape dressing technique.

Cover and kill is one of our newer items. Early season archery means heat and sweat! Give Cover and Kill a try to help neutralize your scent on those muggy early season hunts.

I’ve changed our Loaded Barrels scent vials also. If you're not familiar with Loaded Barrels, it is a scent bomb filled with eight individual glass vials of the lure of your choice. This year we improved on the container and it can be sealed and removed by you at the end of the hunt! You will also be able to buy the scent bomb container separately.

As always, we have you covered for your standards scents. Our products such as: Doe in heat, Buck, doe etc come directly from the deer, to the chiller and then to you; no preservatives, middle man or other such delays are within our game plan insuring you one of the highest (all natural) quality scents on the market today! Keep in mind, doe pee makes a great cover scent. Early season heat will work against you so try making a dragline with doe pee as this is very effective in covering your trail!

I'm extremely excited to tell you about our T-shirt line! I've included an attachment to this e-mail showing our first shirt design. They are in the process of being printed right now so place your orders and be the first to receive this great design developed by hunters for hunters! This design is the first of many as I have teamed up with, Michael Lindsey, a real pro that cares as much about our beloved sport of hunting as I do. Our goal was to produce sports ware for hunters that we would actually buy. Michael has truly brought my idea to life in our first shirt “Restless Expectations” Michael is an avid bow hunter, spending as much time as he can in God’s country but can also be found working at his business, Cordova Graphics. From his office he provides custom graphics and illustrations for various clients around the world. AS a lifelong hunter, residing in North East Mississippi, Michael has some very nice wall hangers and one with a bow! With Michael, you not only get a professional, you also get a friendly down to earth person who truly has a passion for his work. I would definitely recommend Michael and Cordova Graphics to anyone who has a project. Whether it is traditional art work or, digital graphics and Web design, he’s your designer; which brings me to more exciting news!

www.commonscentsdeerlure.com is planning some major changes as we are completely revamping the web site. This will cater to you as a Hunter and will eventually open the doors in meeting hunters all across our great land! Nobody wants to go to a web site that's exactly the same as the last time they visited. So in 2007 look for changes and plan to participate in supporting this great sport and God ordained commission we call HUNTING!

Eventually, our site will be just like an on-line magazine for serious hunters with discussion boards and other ways enabling all who are interested to truly fellowship with other hunters. This means articles, products, and a forum for hunters to interact. New Hunting Gear, Safety Checks and Hunting Strategies along with Success Photos and Invites are just some of the areas we wish to tackle. All of us are interested in new hunting techniques and we all love hearing about close calls and near misses so please plan to post your experiences as well! You are very important to us and it is crucial that all of us contribute to “our” site.

The Hunter’s Spotlight is another feature we plan to debut, giving you a chance to let others know where you hunt and when you're season starts. Maybe we can even pry some tips and tricks from you!

Our Trophy Room is also changing. It's all in the detail so be listening closely and get your photos together. Along with photos, we will be adding stories and strategies. Keep in mind that I'll send you a free sample of deer lure if you send photos of deer harvested while using Common Scents Deer Lure © It's just one way that I get to hear from you and express my appreciation of your using our great products! I’d also like to feature you on our “Praise Page”.

We will also be adding “Classifieds” for Hunters who love gadgets and new products and those looking buy, sell, trade or lease equipment or land. We usually have something we want to get rid of and a classified section will give you the opportunity to do just that. If you have land you are looking to sell, lease or trade, you’ll have a great place that will have serious people who love the sport dealing with you. Maybe you just want to trade hunts and visit a new area. This can be arranged under our BLOG section to where you can swap stories and ultimately gain new friends! I know everyone likes to see new land from time to time or escape the climate that has become somewhat monotonous… well; this is you chance to get out of the rut. You may also post hunting or fishing events to our “Hunter’s Calendar”. This is another great way to meet new friends while building your event to a great band of brothers.

The bottom line is that we want a web-site that you, the Hunter, can participate in and be a part of something special but we can’t do this without your help. In 2006 I received a special blessing with the birth of a daughter Emma. Please, if you have an opportunity, take a child hunting. The time spent will be irreplaceable in your life, the eyes of that child and the future of hunting.

I truly hope of 2007 has been a great year for you and your family thus far and hope this continues throughout our hunting and Holiday season. Hunt hard, hunt happy and most of all…hunt safe. In 2006 a friend fell only 12 feet from his tree stand to his death. He left behind a little boy and his pregnant wife. Please, use your common sense, don't take shortcuts and always remember plenty of people, including the staff at Common Scents Deer Lure, truly care for you and need you to come home at the end of each and every hunt.

Welcome to another deer hunting season. Whether your North, South, East or West, the 2006 archery season is just around the corner! I hope you are just as excited as we are here at Common Scents Deer Lure for the fun to begin.

Last year was great for me and Common Scents. We had sales in thirty-eight states as well as in Canada, South America, Australia, and England. Our scrape dressing really started to catch on. I knew all it would take was some time, and hunters would see that this stuff works. One hunter wrote “I thought this stuff was a deterrent at first. Then two nights in a row I had rack bucks hitting it! I’m sold!”

Toward the end of last year, I introduced Cover & Kill scent killer. I hope you give it a try! I finally got the formula for success. It took awhile but, with some research and help I think I came up with an economic and effective scent killer.

As for this year, I hope you rely on us for your deer lure. I’m not planning to introduce any new products as of right now, but I’m pretty happy with what we have. However, if there is something you want to see or try let us know. Your input is what got me and Common Scents this far. Plus I’m always experimenting to find something new.

The main point of this letter is to get you excited and ready for the hunt. I want to hear from you. Where are you hunting? What have you been seeing? How much preparation and scouting have you done? Let me know. It keeps me fired up. My archery season becomes less and less as I devote more time to lure during the season. I live through you guys! While it may take a little time to get back to you, I definitely will.

Another season is here upon us. The bucks are separating. The velvet is off. Hopefully scouting is started and you have your monster buck patterned and lined up. Well don’t forget your Common Scents^TM ....... Deer Lure that is!

Were ready to go for 2005. Once again you can depend on our lures to get the big one. Doe, Buck, and Doe In Heat we got it, from the deer to the cooler to you!

If you didn’t try our Scrape Dressing last year now is the time to try it. Created in 2004 we had great success in over twenty states. It is perfect for early thru late rutting periods. That’s why I love it and experimented so long. I wanted something that worked from the early season community scrape to the territorial scrape in the main rut.

We also have a new product for 2005. Common Scents^TM Cover & Kill. I cracked the code and came up with a formula to cover human scent and kill the bacteria that creates it. Plus you can afford mine!

Plain and simple this stuff works. It is perfect right now for scouting and early hunts when you get all sweaty. If your like me you sweat when it's cold out getting to your stand. So 60 degrees is scent nightmare. I wanted something you could spray on heavily. This you can. I studied other products and found what I wanted to make mine affordable and effective. Another year is here and we are finishing up a great hunting year. This year has seen great expansion at Common Scents^TM deer lure. We sold to twenty-eight states and numerous provinces in Canada. I thank you personally for your orders and support. Along with those sales came some great success stories. They are still coming in from all over the country. Check them out at our trophy pages.

This year has also seen great improvements in our web site. Thanks to the efforts of Boarpoint web design we’ve really started to make our site effective and easy to navigate. We have big plans for the site for next year also. We have added a pay-pal shopping cart to the order page.

A special thanks goes to my aunt Fay. If you ever wonder how your orders go out so fast she is the reason. Plus she works real cheap!!

Our staff had some great hunts in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Illinois. I didn’t have too much success because of a lack of time and, plus I was pretty busy keeping up with our products this year. I was able to kill a little buck in Pa. My dad got a nice buck in upper Pennsylvania. It was a real trophy because of the area he hunts and the way he hunts on the move. His picture will be up s oon on the trophy page.

Rob had a bow hunt in Illinois and got a shot at a nice buck but, harvested a tree instead. It happens to all of us at one time or another! There is a picture of the buck our buddy Jim got on the trophy page. They experienced temperatures in the fifties and sixties so the deer just were not moving. They must have seen some promise though for there going out next year. The buck he was really after is here. This is a pic from a game tracker camera.

Guy keeps his routine of harvesting a nice Maryland buck alive in 2004. His pics are coming to the trophy page.

Do you work for or know an outfitter that would be interested in advertising for free on our site. I’m starting a link for outfitters who use there Common Scents^TM deer lure. Not only will we advertise for them. We can offer them products at a reduced price. We even have went as far as putting their name and pictures on the lure to give or sell to there customers. We have had about 500 visitors who came to our site just since we updated this year. So this is the place for guides to advertise.

Also we are looking for stores to sell to. Once again we can give discounted prices on lures. We’ll also add a link page for stores that carry are products on our site.

Look for a complete scrape kit for 2005. We're also going to introduce our own lure wicks for 2005. Our scrape dressing is really having some good success.
